I was pleased to meet Ofsted’s Regional Director for the South East Matthew Purves last week. We discussed a broad range of topics, including the recent inspection of Oxfordshire Local Area Partnership’s SEND provision, the performance of local schools and levels of school attendance.
Oxfordshire County Council has launched a public consultation on its plans to introduce a 20 mph zone covering much of Banbury, including the town centre. The streets proposed to be reduced to 20 mph are indicated in blue above.
In January, the Prime Minister set out his plan to halve inflation, grow the economy and reduce debt. Since then, inflation has halved, the economy has grown more than forecast and debt is on track to fall. The plan is working.
