Roadmap

The Prime Minister has now set out his roadmap that will guide us of the current lockdown. While he cannot make any guarantees, he is hopeful that the plan will help move us irreversibly towards reclaiming our way of life while doing all we can to protect people against Covid. It is cautious and comprehensive.

Before moving to the next step, the Government will examine the data to assess the impact of the previous step. This assessment will be based on four tests:

  1. The vaccine deployment programme continues successfully
  2. Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated
  3. Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS
  4. Our assessment of the risks is not fundamentally changed by new Variants of Concern.

COVID-19 Support

The Prime Minister announced on 23 June 2020 that more businesses will be able to open from 4 July 2020. I know this news is very much welcomed by so many across England. Businesses set to reopen include pubs, restaurants, hairdressers.

World Book Day 2021

Thursday, 4 March, 2021

Reading books has always been a passion of mine. I really enjoy getting lost in a good book for a few hours at the weekend and am pleased that I have passed on my love of books to my children. Now I just need to work on the sheep!
