Health Secretary praises North Oxfordshire vaccine rollout

Tuesday, 16 March, 2021

As vaccine rollout continues at pace in North Oxfordshire, the Secretary of State has paid tribute to all those working so hard to help with the vaccination programme, cutting the infection rate and reducing the spread of the virus.

People over the age of 55 can book their appointment using the national booking scheme. The GP-led vaccination sites in our area cannot be booked this way at the moment. GPs are working through the list of cohort 6 (clinically extremely vulnerable patients) and have started second doses for cohorts 1 and 2.

Anyone who needs a local appointment should wait to be contacted by their GP. Given the volume of calls GP surgeries are currently receiving, please do not contact them to ask for an appointment before then.
