Time is running out

The UK has left the EU and on 31 December we will leave the Transition Period. Regardless of the outcome of negotiations, the UK will leave the single market and customs union. There will be changes which we need to prepare for. We all have a part to play in getting ready for the UK’s new start outside the EU.

As part of this, there are steps both businesses and individuals need to take to ensure that they are prepared. A lot of what needs doing can be done now, and do not depend on the outcome of the negotiations. I know many of our local employers have been working on arrangements for some time now.

The Government has prepared a dedicated UK Transition Hub to help businesses and individuals prepare for these changes. The Hub includes an easy-to-use tool to check which steps you need to take, make the changes, and get going. For further information visit: https://www.gov.uk/transition
