It is a huge privilege to have been recognised in the former Prime Minister's resignation honours. In the Lords, I hope to focus on my areas of interest: the law and the countryside, and to continue to support justice for Ukraine.

Victoria Prentis served as the MP for her hometown of Banbury 2015-2024. Victoria was Attorney General for England and Wales from October 2022 until the General Election in July. Before this, Victoria was the Minister of State at DWP (Minister for Work and Welfare) and DEFRA (Minister for Farming, Fisheries and Food). She was responsible for food during the pandemic, and steered through the legislation which made the greatest environmental changes for seventy years.
Called to the Bar in 1995, Victoria practised at the Treasury Solicitor’s Department (now the Government Legal Department) from 1997 to 2014. She took a number of cases to the Supreme Court and represented parties in public inquires. She has worked on many of the major judicial review cases of the last thirty years.
Victoria is currently helping to train Ukrainian lawyers to prosecute war crimes cases.
