Alongside recent letters to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, regarding funding for the Horton, Victoria Prentis MP has today written to the new Home Secretary, Priti Patel MP. She highlighted the need for additional police numbers and funding in North Oxfordshire.
Focusing on county lines, theft and anti-social behaviour, Victoria acknowledged the hard work of Thames Valley Police and asked the Home Secretary to consider Oxfordshire for additional police numbers and funding.
It is hoped that the Prime Minister will choose the Thames Valley region as part of his plans to increase police numbers by 20,000.
