Gyms and health clubs get the green light to reopen

Yesterday I spent the morning at Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa to have a look around its facilities and hear from the owners about their experience over the past few months. I was very impressed by the new safety and social distancing measures that have been put in place, including a one-way system, hand sanitiser stations, masks provided for staff and a rigorous cleaning schedule. It was clear to me that the safety of guests and staff is the hotel’s top priority.

My visit was timely, given that gyms will reopen this weekend. I was particularly impressed by the hotel’s new ‘high performance’ gym facility. Originally set to open mid-March, it is now opening for the first time this Saturday.

In both the on-site gyms, strict social distancing measures have been put in place, allowing guests to exercise safely in plenty of space.

I was pleased to hear that the hotel had already been at 80 per cent capacity since its reopening. We are very fortunate to have some really good hotels in our area like Bicester Hotel. Hopefully they will be welcoming lots of visitors in the coming weeks as people opt for a “staycation” this summer.
