Finmere Landfill Facility

Following an increase in reports of the bad odour in Finmere, I have received the following update from the Environment Agency:

Just before Christmas I met the Environment Agency and the Director of Opes MRF 2013 Ltd (the operator of the Finmere Landfill Facility) to discuss ongoing remedial work at the site. 

In April, a Suspension Notice was served by the Environment Agency to the operator of the Finmere Landfill Facility following the continued mis-management of waste in a number of the cells on the site.

Local MP, Victoria Prentis, has written to residents in Finmere, Mixbury and Newton Purcell following ongoing reports of an unpleasant odour originating from the Finmere Landfill Facility.
